Dr. Philip J. Klump

Dr. Klump utilizes his extensive training and experience to treat even the most challenging dental situations. He has been delivering cosmetic, implant and functional solutions to patients for over 15 years. His commitment to “doing it right” and his ability to “handle just about anything” has won him the admiration of patients and other doctors. A big bonus is that Dr. Klump uses his expertise to prevent big problems from ever happening.

Dr. Klump graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1988. He served in the U.S. ARMY Dental Corps-Alaska for three years and received the ARMY Commendation MEDAL and Honorable Discharge in 1991. He has been in private practice in Anchorage for 15 years.

Dr. Klump has received advanced training certificates in Full Mouth Cosmetic Rehabilitation, Dental Implant Placement and Restoration, Bone Grafting, Sinus- Lift Grafting, Laser Dentistry, and Neuromuscular Occlusion.

Dr. Klump enjoys helping his patients attain the most beautiful and healthy smiles that modern dentistry can comfortably achieve.

Dr. Klump has been married for nineteen years to his beautiful wife, Maureen. They have six wonderful children. Dr. Klump enjoys fishing and golfing and spending time with his family. He loves to enjoy the beauty of the Alaskan outdoors, and not only playing, but watching his boys play hockey.

Dr. Stacy M. Schmitz

Dr. Schmitz joined Alaska Advanced Dentistry in September 2008. She came to us with high recommendation after previously providing dental treatment in Nebraska. She provides great care and shares her enthusiasm with patients, helping them to obtain a healthy smile. We can assure that the patient’s best interest is at mind when Dr. Schmitz provides advanced, high-quality care to specifically treat each patient’s dental needs.

Dr. Schmitz graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2007, of which her class scored #1 in the nation on Part II of the American Dental Association’s National Board Exam. In 2007, Dr. Schmitz received awards from the American Equilibrium Society, the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Academy of Orofacial Pain. She continues to seek Continuing Education to provide advanced treatment to suit her patients’ dental needs. Dr. Schmitz served in both Private Practice and Public Health in Nebraska prior to her arrival to Alaska. She has also spent time in Honduras providing dental treatment to the economically underprivileged of Honduras.

The beauty of Alaska continues to amaze Dr. Schmitz, not only in the outdoors, but in the people and the culture as well. She enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Jonathan, listening to music, cooking, hiking, biking and exploring what Alaska has to offer.
